Children can also be inspired by the projects to share what they have learned there in school, with both their peers and teachers.
In 2015, three young people from our partner Si Mujer’s project on sexual and reproductive health and rights used what they had learned to demand that their schools fulfilled their responsibility to provide unbiased sex education. Although they received opposition and their requests were repeatedly postponed, they were eventually successful.
One of these young people, Diego, wrote a blog post for us in which he explains the steps he took to make changes in his school. Read the blog post here.
Note: Diego has kindly given us permission to translate and publish his report and to use his real name.
