Children Change Colombia Fiesta
Children Change Colombia’s annual party in support of children's rights in Colombia took place on Saturday 7th October at Rich Mix, East London's independent arts centre. The event featured upbeat Latin American rhythms and Colombian classics from The Indios and DJ El Tuma.
The Indios (live band)
The Indios are a London based band founded in 2014 by friends Juan Contento and Felipe Rojas. Their music blends upbeat South American rhythms with different genres such as: Funk, Indie, Rock, Reggae, Hip-hop, Dance and Country. Their lyrics explore a wide range of subjects from Latin American culture and history to politics and fictional stories. The Indios have played all around London including venues such as: O2 Islington, Passing Clouds, Hootananny Brixton, 229, Proud Camden, The Monarch and more.
El Tuma (dj set)
El Tuma is a London-based Afro Latino DJ, organiser and community activist. Bringing a multi-genre mix of tropical beats from e-cumbia to hard salsa, he brings a fusion of African rhythms, electronic themes and urban hits. He has played all over London including: RVT, Dalston Superstore, the BFI, The Rich Mix, STYX Bar, Limewharf, SOAS, and more. He is one half of the bi-monthly Latinx dance party MARICUMBIA, and has collaborated with various DJs and performers including opening for Las Cafeteras.
