CCC has launched an emergency project with the grassroot organisation ´Fundación 5 Sentidos´. Your support can change the life of a displaced family.

A humanitarian crisis is unfolding in Catatumbo, northeastern Colombia, as escalating violence between rival armed groups has forced over 42,000 people to flee their homes in recent weeks with the number continuing to rise (the Office of the Ombudsman) . At least 80 lives have been lost, and many civilians remain trapped in the crossfire. Thousands lack food, clean water, and medical aid, while schools remain closed. Immediate humanitarian assistance is urgently needed. Vulnerable populations, including migrants and indigenous communities, lack access to essentials like food and water. Education is severely affected, with 46,000 children unable to return to school and around 710 schools will remain closed at least until February 10 (Ministry of Education).
