English Teacher
Paulina is an English and French teacher who graduated from the Universidad San Buenaventura Cartagena. She is passionate about education, research, and the use of play and creativity as tools for learning. In 2022, she taught English in rural communities in northern Bolívar, focusing on “English for life” — practical language skills that help students communicate and access new opportunities.
Between 2023 and 2024, she worked with vulnerable and migrant children in southwest France, teaching Spanish as a foreign language while also sharing the richness of Afro-Colombian culture through engaging and playful activities. During these years, she strengthened her pedagogical skills and developed a strong ability to adapt to diverse learning environments.
With family roots in the rural districts of northern Bolívar, Paulina understands firsthand the challenges many young people face when trying to access higher education and secure dignified employment. For her, working with Children Change Colombia represents the opportunity to combine her vocation for teaching with a commitment to providing tools that transform lives and open pathways toward a more just future for children and adolescents in rural communities.
