Alice’s Story

Alice Pérez is an 18-year-old student who grew up in a loving household with her parents, brother, paternal grandparents, and a three-year-old nephew. Her father works at the Santa Marta port, and her mother is a housewife.

Alice enjoys reading in her free time and has a deep love for animals, caring for her two dogs and a cat. As a child, she had a passion for dancing and frequently participated in parades. At the age of six, her father taught her how to swim, which remains a cherished memory.

In 2022, Alice enrolled in a school in the Sierra Nevada de Santa Marta, and in 2023, she was introduced to Children Change Colombia through an entrepreneurship workshop held at her school. She describes the workshop as a transformative and deeply impactful experience, providing her with resources and opportunities she never imagined.

Now, Alice is on a journey of self-discovery and personal growth. She is determined to improve herself, achieve her goals, and make the most of every opportunity, including the scholarship she received. She is committed to excelling in all areas of her life and becoming a better version of herself every day.

She has started studying Business Administration at Fundación Universitaria del Area Andina. She has also received a computer and monthly stipends for connectivity.
