BBC Radio 4 Campaign with Michael Palin

We are thrilled to announce that Michael Palin, renowned traveller, writer, and presenter, will feature our charity, Children Change Colombia, in a special BBC Radio 4 Appeal on the 6th and 10th of August.

Michael will shed light on Keiner´s story, set in La Sierra Nevada de Santa Marta, a paradise on Earth marred by the devastating impact of armed conflict and drug-related violence. Sadly, this region has witnessed the loss of family members, homes, and schools, resulting in the tragic loss of entire childhoods. However, through our dedicated efforts, Children Change Colombia has made a difference.

Keiner is an orphan due to the conflict who grew up with a lack of opportunities to develop his potential. With the support of Children Change Colombia, Keiner received crucial psychological assistance, English lessons, and entrepreneurship training which empowered him to build a brighter and more promising future.

Join us on Sunday the 6th of August at 07:54 and 21:25, and again on Thursday the 10th at 15:27, by tuning in to BBC Radio 4 as we delve into the transformative impact of Children Change Colombia and the incredible resilience young individuals like Keiner demonstrate.

Together, we can work towards breaking the cycle of violence and providing essential support to children and communities affected by conflict. With your help, we can restore hope and create lasting change in the lives of those who need it most.

It costs £100 for a child to receive psychosocial support, entrepreneurship and vocational workshops, mentoring and English lessons for a year. So whatever you can give will help us empower more children to change Colombia.
