Denis is a scholarship beneficiary whose hard work and determination have opened incredible opportunities for her future. She recently received a partial scholarship to study at the Universidad Politécnico Grancolombiano which will be complete with the support of Children Change Colombia and the angels, a significant achievement that reflects her dedication to his education and dreams.
Denis will be pursuing a degree in Agribusiness Management. She is the second youngest of 11 siblings, and her mother is a respected community leader who has dedicated herself to promoting education for girls and adolescents. Denis expressed her deep gratitude and excitement upon receiving the scholarship, saying, “I am very proud of myself because there are not many opportunities like this for girls and women from the Sierra Nevada de Santa Marta, so this means a lot to me.” This opportunity not only represents a milestone in Denis’ life but also reflects the broader impact of empowering young women in her community to pursue their dreams and build brighter futures.
Her participation in the Children Change Colombia projects has been highly valuable in shaping her life experiences. She particularly appreciated learning skills such as creating home gardens, planting, harvesting, packaging, and selling products. The projects also included educational trips to fascinating locations, which contributed to her practical development and the application of what she learned.
